7 Best Appetizers and Sweets for your Holiday Get Togethers

7 Best Appetizers and Sweets for your Holiday Get Togethers

While we are riding this food train, I thought I'd share a few more recipes!

These recipes have some of my favorite types of food - appetizers, and sweets.

Who needs all that other stuff in between, am I right?

This time of year is FULL of parties and gatherings of all types, and almost all of them include food.

7 Appetizers and Sweets that are Perfect for your Holiday Season - Peonies and Cream

Try any one of these recipes below, and I promise people will be dying to know where you got them!

And the best part, you get to bring the leftovers home for yourself (if there are any, which I doubt)!

Crab and Artichoke Dip from Mother Thyme

This dip seems really sophisticated, and it is!

But it's also really simple to make!

This is perfect for a last minute appetizer recipe.

This dip is an amazing blend of spicy and sweet with its cranberry and jalapeno pairing.

Ever since I first made this, I have received requests for it every holiday season.

I can't think of a time I've made it and had someone tell me they didn't love it, it's really that good!

I prefer to serve mine up with good old buttery crackers like Ritz or Townhouse.

Classic Guacamole from Martha Stewart

Guacamole

I know this dip is basically a party-going staple, and it seems silly to even include it. But the truth is, I never really loved guacamole or had made it, until about 3 years ago.

There. I said it!

Now I LOVE making (and of course eating) guacamole as much as I can!

I love to play around with the proportions and see how different key ingredients change the flavor.

This is just a plain old Martha Stewart recipe, but it's a good one. It's the one I started off with, and still refer to most time I'm making my guac.

I honestly couldn't remember how or where I was introduced to Brie and Jam recipes.

All I can remember was the amazing fusion of flavor and wondering if everyone else already knew about it.

Now I love to make a Raspberry and Brie bake if I know I'm going to have company over.

But this recipe makes that go-to app even better by offering pre-portioned bites, ready to go!

Plus, it's crazy quick and easy to put together.

This recipe is a different take on a Chex Mix or Puppy Chow type snack, perfect for munching by the handful!

Plus, it makes a ton for hardly any work.

This would be a treat you could even make without the party, and snack on it for the whole holiday season!

Who needs parties anyways?

These pecans are also a huge bang for your buck so-to-speak.

And crazy addictive.

I promise if you take these anywhere with you, you won't be bringing any home!

So you better make a second batch for yourself, cause you're going to want it!

Cinnamon Churro Chex Mix from Larissa Another Day

I don't know about you guys, but to me, cinnamon just kind of screams holidays.

And of course, Chex MIx is like a 6th food group at Christmas.

So why not try this delicious variation?

I promise you'll be the talk of the party (and not because you had a little too much eggnog).
