DIY Floral Valentine's Day Wreath
I’ve never been big on decorating for the smaller holidays, but growing up my mom always did.
She made sure to make every holiday we celebrated special for us with decor, treats, and small gifts.
Those memories are some of my favorites and I remember how excited and special I felt on each of those days.
I really want that for our girls, so I’m making more of an effort to use every excuse to celebrate.
Now, when it comes to Valentine’s day decor, I’m really not huge on the bright pinks and reds, cause I’m not big on them any other day. Ha!
But that doesn't mean I can’t try to make our house beautiful for this day full of love.
I just choose to go with softer colors and lots of white.
I ran to hobby lobby in a scramble to get all of these wreath supplies, and got this plus more in about a half hour.
And I had the girls with me and no Kyle.
But it was so fast and easy, because as soon as I hit the floral aisle, these pieces jumped out at me and suddenly my whole vision came into focus.
Before going, all I knew was that I planned to make a wreath.
After going, I could see it clearly and just needed to put it into existence.
Don’t you love when that happens?
I got all of these supplies at Hobby Lobby, and most were on sale. I think all together my wreath supplies cost me about $55.
Now I don’t end up using every last piece, but I’d rather have a bit too much, then not enough and have to leave or put it on hold right in the middle!
All you need for this wreath is -
Some floral branches
A “centerpiece” or sign depending on your design
Some wire cutters
E6000 or other adhesive
And that’s it!
Be sure to watch the video to see how mine all came together.
??? Do you decorate for Valentine’s day? If so, what’s your Valentine’s decor style???
