Our little family - Easter 2017

Hey there! I'm Molly.

I've always been a lifelong creative. As long as I can remember, my desire to design and create has found as many outlets as possible. Starting from sidewalk chalk and crayons, moving through paper and fiber arts, and landing me here!

There have been many stops along the way; including doll houses made from notebook paper, scotch tape, and markers, gardening, sewing, knitting, crochet, woodworking, painting, drawing, and photography. And that's not even all of them!

Now what is it they say about the Jack of all trades? Something about being good at a lot of things, but not great at any? Well I suppose you could lump me in that category. But hey, what's so great about being perfect anyways?

My love for creating is just as much about the process (if not more) than it is about the product. Although, while we're being honest, how great is it to hang something up in your home, only to have people marvel when you tell them you made it? It's a pretty amazing feeling, that honestly anyone can have!

My hopes here are to share some projects, processes, and inspiration for you to live your own creative life! And to share a little bit about our greatest ongoing creation, our family.

Wait, I haven't told you about them yet? Well I'll let you in on a little secret, they're pretty great. I have an awesome husband named Kyle, who not only works full time outside our home, but also works full time at home. That's right ladies! I put him to work! He's a great sport about it, whether it's helping build garden boxes, finishing our office/craft room, or simply entertaining the kids (which he is way better at than I am).

And then there are the girls. As I write this, Evelyn just turned 2, and Addelyn (Addie) is 4 months. They are by far the best thing we have ever created, and are some of my biggest inspiration.

Evelyn inspired me to design, build, and sew a teepee from scratch for her first birthday. She's also the reason I jumped in and knit my first sweater, started piecing a triangle quilt, and began scrapbooking with Project Life.

Who hasn't dreamt of making something (anything really) that their kids/grandkids/nieces/nephews/etc. won't some day fight over. Ah the American dream. Just kidding. But really, the idea of something I've made my girls becoming a family heirloom thrills me. Not to mention all the love and use they will get out of it before then.

So, you're probably thinking "Molly, that's great, but why am I here, and what is going to keep me coming back?". Well, I'm glad you asked. As I said before, I think that just about anyone can live a creative life.

I'm hoping to share my creative journey and inspiration, as well as my struggles (because we all have them), to help show you how to be your most creative self.

And, I also want to get to know you! Don't be afraid to reach out with questions or just what your thoughts are on a post! And, don't forget to follow along on social media so you never miss out.
